Zach the Comic: Debt Trap

The cartoon depicts a hunting trap in the bottom left corner with a cement block labelled "debt" as a bait. Black and red (with the Chinese flag) puddles are depicted in front of the trap.

The cartoon depicts two maps of the South China Sea, focusing on Brunei, side-by-side. The map on the left depicts sharp teeth coming out of the ocean. The letters "EEZ" feature in the ocean contained by dashed lines. A speech bubble states "At least our EEZ doesn't pass through one of those dashes right?" On the right, a red, dragon head with the Chinese flag on its nose replaces the teeth. A speech bubble shows the dragon asking "What EEZ?" while Brunei states "Uh-oh..."
